The fabric reinforced rubber seal R35 are installed back to back. A lantern ring is included so that lubricant can be forced between the sealing rings. The sealing lip is also pre-loaded with a garter spring.They are used whenever adequate lubrication is ensured by the medium to be sealed.

Oil seal is also known as shaft seal. They are often called grease, fluid or dirt seals. Oil seal is an integral part in any rotating and moving part assembly. The function of a seal is to prevent the leakage of medium along the moving parts. This is mainly achieved by the sealing element.
